Jenny Floravita's Vision for her Reverse Painted Glass Chandeliers aka 'Illuminated Painted Glass Gardens'

"I love painting on glass because of the expressive feeling that I am able to infuse into every flower petal, leaf, bird and brush stroke. Exotic flowers and birds are a favorite subject because they bring the sounds, smells and sights from my travels through warm lands into each of my illuminated painted glass gardens. I use my hand slumped glass as my canvas and the resulting illuminated paintings are like a glimpse into another world.

My special painting technique makes my flowers and leaves look as if they will pop right out of the glass and allows me to paint with the same freedom felt when exploring a deserted island beach or a hidden garden. There is an amazing 3 dimensional effect to my glass paintings that captivates viewers and makes them feel as if they have a blooming flower garden that is ready to burst out of the glass at any moment. Every time you look at my illuminated painted glass gardens, you will see something new.

I want you to know that I pour my heart and soul into each of my custom hand painted glass chandeliers. Each one is painted and signed by me and know that each of my reverse painted glass chandeliers are unique".

Jenny Floravita's Vision for her Tropical Paintings

"The tropics have always been a place that I hold dear in my heart; the air and its dense humid nature; the scent of the Hawaiian Island flowers and sea breezes; the hues and textures of the cocoa palm I love everything about the tropics. It was in Florida while attending a reception for my work at an international gallery that I discovered the wonderfully serene and world re-known Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens. I knew that my career as an artist would be forever changed by this enchanting eighty-three acre tropical wonderland and though I travel to different island each year, the visions that I absorbed at Fairchild still influence my works. Almost 10 years later, I am still traveling to tropical lands, sometimes revisiting places of comfort and each time I am able to see the this beautiful world in which I pain in fresh, new ways. It is my life’s mission to continually visit these gorgeous climates throughout the world and gather together the wonderful feelings, sounds, smells and sights through my passion for painting.

My current series of island paintings is focused on the dynamic mountain ranges of the Hawaiian Islands. I love how they rise up like a dragon and fall into the sea, adding a very dynamic elements to my landscape compositions. Square painting compositions and large scale work, will also be a big theme in my 2010 tropical island painting".
